Our story begins back in 2011.
We both worked together at a digital marketing agency (Ami as President and Lisa overseeing digital strategy, training, and operations for our account management team) that focused on SEO, Paid Search, and Redesigns for many well name brands including Fortune 100 and 500 companies.
If there was ever a project or problem that was hard to crack, the two of us were put on the case to solve it.
Ever since the beginning, we loved working together to tackle complex problems, understand the story the data provided, and discover the right questions to ask our clients to help them make informed decisions and produce results.
In 2017, the agency we both worked at was acquired, and around that same time we both decided to try something different, by taking a break from the agency world.
Side note! After a few years of dating we tied the knot in 2019!
Fast forward to 2020 and APLS was born. We decided to combine our 20+ years of experience in the digital marketing world to help organizations that wanted to be helped.
In the movie The Departed, there is a great quote from Captain Queenan where he asks Billy Costigan “Do you want to be a cop, or do you want to appear to be a cop?”
What we’ve found is too often, companies are doing things to just check a box and say “we do SEO” or “we invest in paid search,” but in reality, they are not accomplishing anything.
We also found that so many companies get caught in the trap of “doing best practices” that aren’t aligned to their vision and strategy as a whole. As a result, they aren’t getting the results they set out for…yet don’t know why.
We get to be the bridge between the leaders and their team to ensure that the right strategies are being put into place to drive the right traffic to their website and turn them into customers, so they have sustainable growth.
We’re not all 0s and 1s! But data is just data unless the person behind it knows what to look for to help deliver impactful results.
